Introduction
The Faculty of Stomatology/Dentistry began its activities in 1390 (2011), one year after the establishment of Ghalib University Herat. This faculty is the first private stomatology faculty in the western zone of the country and operates as a single department, namely the Dentistry Department. Its service and educational facilities and infrastructure include a equipped faculty dental clinic, four specialized laboratories, a library, computer lab, classrooms and administrative offices, green space, faculty parking, sanitary facilities, cafeteria, publications, and kitchen. The first graduation ceremony of this faculty was held in 1395 (2016), and to date, over thirteen graduation periods, more than 300 students have graduated from this faculty. Graduates of this faculty have achieved major accomplishments, including establishing equipped clinics, succeeding in the medical board exam, completing specialization training, and passing specialty exams in other countries. This faculty has the capacity to admit the maximum number of students determined by the Ministry of Higher Education. The Faculty of Stomatology of Ghalib University Herat, as one of the important private faculties in Afghanistan, has played a valuable and effective role in raising the educational level and providing scientific-research services in the country. This faculty, considering its mission, objectives, and values, has a defined scientific and administrative structure, and its activities proceed in alignment with the country's laws and Ghalib University's guidelines. In the academic programs of this faculty, theoretical and practical education, along with the use of laboratories, dental clinic, library, dedicated computer lab, classrooms, green space, and support facilities for students, are given attention. The main focus of this faculty is on training specialized, professional, and committed personnel in the field of oral and dental health.
